  • Six oz tomato paste
  • Although you may adjust the sweetness to your liking, 1/4 cup brown sugar and two teaspoons of honey are a good starting point.
  • Add in three tbsp apple cider vinegar (white vinegar is also OK). You may adjust the amount by adding more or less.

  • Worcestershire sauce (about one teaspoon),
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder,
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes; 1/4 teaspoon powdered allspice; 
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/8 teaspoon crushed cloves, 
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste
  • For thinning the sauce, start with 1/2 cup water and add more as necessary.


  • In a large mixing bowl, stir together all of the ingredients until well combined and smooth.
  • Put the chilli sauce into a small saucepan and heat it. To let the flavours blend and develop, place the pan on low heat for 10 minutes. Taste and adjust seasonings like salt, honey, and other spices as needed. If you want a thinner sauce, add additional water. It is often a thicker sauce, and it will continue to thicken as it cools, but if you like a thinner sauce, go ahead and make it that way!
  • Pour the mixture into a closed container and place it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to use it.
